About

Mission

Theonomica is an online platform for ecumenical, interdisciplinary discourse on Christianity and economics.

It aims to be a forum where the complex and diverse interactions between Christian faith and theology and economic activity can be discussed with scholarly depth, objectivity, and mutual charity. Furthermore, it seeks to analyze and open dialogue regarding how Christian economic traditions provide insight into how we today may embody the love of God in our economic lives.

Scope

Theonomica covers a variety of categories, both denominational and thematic, in its dialogue on Christian economic theology, including but not limited to:

  • Historic Christian positions on economic life
  • Historic and modern appraisals and critiques of market practices
  • Interviews and case studies with current religious institutions
  • Symposia on contemporary scholarship
  • Opinion pieces on the implications of historic moral economy
  • Introduction to further reading and resources

Team

Theonomica is founded and run by Michael Mushinski ’26, a high school senior passionate about Christian theology and philosophy, sustainable finance, and political economy.
